Education Stems Technology...

Education is important to IDCAST and the University of Dayton.  So important that collaboration has become a key factor in furthering the development of Sensor related technologies by working together.

Starting with the 8 Universities who are a part of that development.

Education starts early in the Dayton Region!

Dayton also hosts DECA (Dayton Early College Academy) it was founded in 2003 in partnership with Dayton City Schools.  DECA focused on preparing low-income, urban students for college work through personalized academic attention; the development of close relationships between teachers, families and students; rigorous academic work; and introducing students to college classes.

The Dayton Region STEM Education was founded in 2008 as a learning institute for high-school students and their families.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

According to Dayton Regional STEM School Principal Boyd, " Our School's Mission - 'to prepare students with the skills necessary to compete in the global economy while nurturing our young people the same enthusiam for discovery, invention and application that launched the vision for powered flight' - is inspired by the Dayton Region's history, and is aimed at ensuring our community's future success."
