IDCAST Signs ODOD Grant Agreement

The University of Dayton has signed the Grant Agreement from the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) that finalizes the contractually the establishment of the the Wright Center of Innovation, the Institute for the Development and Commercialization of Advanced Sensor Technology. IDCAST. The Ohio Third Frontier Commision awarded the University of Dayton $28 million on December 15, 2006. This agreement finalizes that award. Under the terms of the agreement IDCAST will provide ODOD short and long term plans, a projection of accomplishments, and then reports actual results on a quarterly basis.
IDCAST is the Institute for the Development and Commercialization of Advanced Sensor Technology. IDCAST is a collaboration of six universities, industry, and the Air Force Research Laboratory. It was established as a Wright Center of Innovation by a $28 million award from the State of Ohio. With a focus on collaborative research and commercialization, academia, industry, and federal laboratories come together under the IDCAST framework to develop game-changing remote sensor and CBRNE sensor technologies.
